We are offering two Communication and media paid internships
for our compact but quickly growing organisation's Be Enriched and Brixton People's Kitchen.
The roles for up to 2 days a week for 3 months, with opportunities for additional work within the organisation.
These roles will commence in the first week of September.

Job role
  • create and implement content schedules for people to produce or update content
  • write and edit engaging blog posts and articles
  • create engaging multimedia content such as videos
  • analyse analytics data to learn how users interact with your site
  • communicating with colleagues and key spokespeople;
  • liaising with, and answering enquiries from media, individuals and other organisations, often via telephone and email;
  • researching, writing and distributing press releases to targeted media;
  • collating and analysing media coverage,
  • maintaining and updating information on the organisation's website;
  • managing and updating information and engaging with users on social media sites such as Twitter and Facebook;
  • fostering community relations through events such as open days and through involvement in community initiatives;
  • develop a social media strategy and set goals to increase brand awareness and increase engagement
  • manage all social media channels such as Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Google + and Instagram
  • plan content and delivery and use tools like Hootsuite and Asana to manage multiple social media channels
  • form key relationships with influencers across the social media platforms
  • manage and facilitate social media communities by responding to social media posts and developing discussion

You'll be able to pick your projects and hours and help us deliver a variety of projects and new schemes cross South London

We are looking for a community/youth worker to bring our projects out into local areas.
If you are a trained youth or community worker with passion and drive and enthusiasm to manage people and equip them with skills to connect local people then this is the role for you.
Successful applicants will have a JNC or equivalent qualification, experience routed in the community and brilliant organisational skills.
We welcome applications from those who can evidence life experience and passion.

This role will include some evenings and weekends for circa 3 days a week salary based on training and experience from £9:50 p/hr

Join us for the festive season this year - we will be hosting three community Christmas meals in Elephant & Castle, Battersea and Tooting. You can expect a traditional Christmas dinner with all the trimmings, Christmas entertainment and Santa might even pay us a visit, and all for a donation if you can give it! Hope to see you at our table.

We've received some funding from the Evening Standard to run an innovative new project.
We have finished recruiting for this batch of cooks, but hope to run the project again.
