Over 8 million people across the UK, go hungry every day. Do you want to be part of the fight against food poverty that is devastating lives and futures of adults and children alike?

Be Enriched helps people struggling with access to services they need, social isolation and hunger. We do this by running a series of regular projects and offering training opportunities that give people food, the chance to learn cooking skills and build community. Last year over 3,000 people benefited from our projects.

The Volunteer Coordinator Intern will be working with the Volunteer Manager in our Brixton office for 2-3 days a week, assisting with administrative duties in volunteer management. This is a great opportunity for someone with previous office experience, and there may be further opportunities for additional paid work within the organisation.

Main tasks and activities include:
  • Administrative duties and assistance;
  • Dealing with both outgoing and incoming telephone and email queries;
  • Assistance in volunteering session management;
  • Visiting our canteen sessions and speaking with volunteers;
  • Other duties as required by the Volunteer Manager.

Skills and experience required:
  • Some previous administrative experience required;
  • Copywriting and editing experience;
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word;
  • Familiarity with event management, Eventbrite experience a bonus;
  • Ability to work independently in a professional manner.
