We are offering two Communication and media internships

Over 8 million people across the UK, go hungry every day. Do you want to be part of the fight against food poverty that is devastating lives and futures of adults and children alike?

Be Enriched helps people struggling with access to services they need, social isolation and hunger. We do this by running a series of regular projects and offering training opportunities that give people food, the chance to learn cooking skills and build community. Last year over 3,000 people benefited from our projects.

As an intern, you will work alongside our Partnerships Manager and Volunteer co-ordinator from our Brixton office to help support communications and events activities across the organisation.
The role is 2 days a week for 3 months, with opportunities for additional paid work within the organisation.

Tasks may include, but are not limited to:

Supporting development of the social media strategy and manage our social media presence across all platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc)
Assisting with implementation of content schedules to produce or update content
Writing and editing engaging blog posts and articles
Creating engaging multimedia content such as videos
Learning to analyse analytics data to learn how users interact with our sites and platforms
Learning how to update information on the organisation's website
Communicating with colleagues and key stakeholders
Liaising with, and answering enquiries from media, individuals and other organisations, often via telephone and email
Researching and writing press releases to targeted media
Collating and analysing media coverage
Fostering community relations through supporting the team at events such as open days and through involvement in the community
